NFL player Tae Hayes was taken into custody in Morgan County on charges related to drugs.

Decatur, Alabama (WAFF) – Tae Hayes, an NFL player, Hayes was arrested early Sunday morning in Morgan County by Trinity Police on charges of marijuana possession. Jail records indicate he was booked around 3:45 a.m. and posted a $300 bond, securing release approximately 90 minutes later. Details surrounding the arrest are currently undisclosed.

Hayes, a former standout at Decatur High School and Appalachian State University, entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2019. He has played for several teams including the Jaguars, Dolphins, Patriots, and most recently the Jets. Additionally, Hayes was part of the 2022 USFL Championship-winning team based in Birmingham.
