The Dallas Cowboys are where I want to be right now, so that’s where I am and what’s important. We’ll assess our situation at the end of the season and see if that persists. And we’ll proceed from there if not.”
Although there was hope for a long-term extension between the Cowboys and Prescott’s team, the talks have not advanced recently. The 30-year-old quarterback’s contract would not be allowed to expire, as the Cowboys have previously stated. Jerry Jones, the team’s owner, general manager, and president, haven’t taken any action yet, thus Prescott’s future in Dallas isn’t assured past 2024.
In 2021, the three-time Pro Bowler signed a four-season, $160 million contract, which is currently in its fourth year.
