Eberechi Eze: Crystal Palace star hints at future exit after stating League title ambitions
Under head coach Oliver Glasner, the 26-year-old has played for Selhurst Park for the past five seasons, where he has established himself as a fan favorite and a key member of the first squad. In 2024–25, Eze had his greatest season as a Palace player, scoring 14 goals and dishing out 11 assists in 43 games across all competitions. Earlier this month, the England international scored the lone goal in the FA Cup final against Manchester City, sending the Eagles to their first-ever major prize. This historic victory also guaranteed Palace’s spot in the Europa League for the upcoming season.
Eze has two years left on his Selhurst Park deal, and several English top-flight clubs are reportedly interested in him because of his outstanding achievements. Man City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur are on high alert after the versatile attacking midfielder reportedly told Palace that he would desire to leave the team this summer.
EZE KEEN TO WIN PL TITLE, BUT COULD HE BE ON THE MOVE THIS SUMMER?
Following his declaration that he would “do anything” to win the Premier League title, Eze has since given another indication that a move away from Palace may be imminent. The number ten for Palace said to Sky Sports News, “I want to win, I’ll do everything in my power to win the Premier League.” Eze’s remarks follow Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner’s recent declaration that the team, which placed 12th in the Premier League the previous season, would not be selling all of its best players this summer.
According to the Austrian, “I don’t want to comment on individual players,” Sky Sports News reported. “We could discuss the fantastic seasons that Marc Guehi, Dean Henderson, Adam Wharton, Jean-Philippe Mateta, and Ismaila Sarr had for us. Not all of them will be sold. As they get ready to balance both domestic and European pursuits next season, Palace, who unwillingly lost Michael Olise to Bayern Munich for £50 million last summer, is eager to have their roster strengthened rather than diminished. Eze is believed to have a £60 million release clause in his Palace contract this summer, but after other add-ons are taken into account, the price of any possible trade is probably going to be closer to £68 million.
