Breaking: Standout 4-star TE from Princeton chooses Bearcats competitive list of elite programs

In a significant boost to their 2026 recruiting class, the Cincinnati Bearcats have secured a commitment from four-star tight end Landen Miree, a standout from Princeton High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. Miree chose the Bearcats over a competitive list of elite programs, including Auburn, Florida State, LSU, North Carolina, and Washington.

Hometown Hero Chooses Cincinnati

Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 225 pounds, Miree is ranked among the top tight ends in the nation for the class of 2026. His decision to stay close to home and play for Cincinnati underscores the program’s growing appeal under head coach Scott Satterfield.

“Cincinnati is in my hometown, so it’s always special to be noticed and loved in your city,” Miree said during an earlier visit. “Coach [Josh] Stepp made me feel special when I came down for a 513 Day visit, which makes me want to know what it is to be a Bearcat on a typical practice day.”

Stellar Junior Season

During his junior year, Miree showcased his versatility and athleticism, recording 56 receptions for 714 yards and 10 touchdowns. His performance earned him First Team All-Conference honors and Second Team All-Ohio recognition.

Miree’s ability to contribute both as a receiver and blocker makes him a valuable asset for the Bearcats’ offense. His commitment is expected to have an immediate impact on the team’s offensive schemes.

Competitive Recruitment Process

Miree’s recruitment was highly competitive, with over 30 scholarship offers from top programs nationwide. After narrowing his choices to six schools, he took official visits to each, including Cincinnati, Florida State, North Carolina, SMU, and Washington.

Despite strong interest from other programs, Miree’s connection to his hometown and the Bearcats’ coaching staff played a pivotal role in his decision. His commitment is seen as a significant win for Cincinnati, both on and off the field.

Looking Ahead

As Miree prepares for his senior season at Princeton High School, expectations are high for his continued development. His commitment adds momentum to Cincinnati’s 2026 recruiting efforts and signals the program’s ability to attract top-tier talent.

With Miree’s addition, the Bearcats are poised to strengthen their offensive lineup and continue their ascent in college football’s competitive landscape.
