Former Georgia Bulldogs wide receiver RaRa Thomas has entered the NCAA transfer portal, seeking to continue his college football career elsewhere.

Thomas began his collegiate journey at Mississippi State, where he played for two seasons. In 2021, he recorded 18 receptions for 252 yards and five touchdowns. The following year, he improved his performance with 44 catches for 626 yards and seven touchdowns.

In December 2022, Thomas transferred to Georgia, aiming to bolster the Bulldogs’ receiving corps. During the 2023 season, he participated in 11 games, amassing 23 receptions for 383 yards and one touchdown. His most notable performance came against Kentucky, where he secured five catches for 63 yards and a touchdown, contributing to Georgia’s 51-13 victory.

However, Thomas’s tenure at Georgia was marred by off-field issues. In January 2023, he was arrested on charges including felony false imprisonment and misdemeanor battery, both carrying a “family violence” designation. These charges were later dropped as part of a pretrial diversion program. In July 2024, Thomas faced further legal troubles with an arrest on two counts of misdemeanor battery and one count of felony cruelty to children, again with “family violence” distinctions. These incidents led to his dismissal from the Georgia football team in August 2024.

Now in the transfer portal, Thomas is exploring opportunities to continue his collegiate football career. Despite his on-field talent, potential programs may weigh his past off-field issues when considering him for their roster.
