Željko Kopic is no longer Hajduk’s head coach. The Club and Mr. Kopić agreed to terminate his coaching contract by mutual consent.
“I lived Hajduk for ten months as intensely as possible, and the termination of cooperation was just like that. I want to thank to the President Huljaj and to the whole Club, I think that this is the best solution at this moment” said former head coach Željko Kopić.
“We made this decision after further consultations with Mr. Kopić. We are confident that this was the best solution for the Club, and we thank our former Coach and his assistants, wishing them success in future career” said the President of HNK Hajduk Jasmin Huljaj.
Coach Kopić came to Hajduk in early November 2017, he coached the first team in 34 games, making 15 wins, 11 draws and eight defeats, and led them to the Croatian Cup final .
