WeVarious reports over the past couple of months have claimed that there is plenty of excitement at the North London club about the midfielder, who is expected to be handed a prominent first-team role.

Loan move on the cards for Lucas Bergvall?

However, this is contradicted by Gladbach Live who say that Bergvall might struggle for minutes at Spurs, given the options that Postecoglou has at his disposal.

The report says that it ‘wouldn’t be a big surprise’ if Spurs decide to loan out the teenager in the summer so that he can continue getting competitive minutes under his belt.

Gladbach are set to be on the lookout for creative solutions this summer due to their financial woes and the Bundesliga side views the Sweden international as someone who can add ‘new impetus’ to their midfield.

Spurs Web Opinion

I do not think Postecoglou would let Bergvall leave on loan this summer as he would want the youngster to train under him and his coaching staff for a few months. Spurs might consider a January loan move for the 18-year-old if he does not get too many minutes in the first half of the season.
