Unexpectedly, Another Dallas Cowboys Superstar Was Absent at the Beginning of the 2024 Offseason

Jerry Jones promised the Dallas Cowboys will be “all in” at the start of the offseason, but that is a long way off. As previously announced, superstar Micah Parsons will also not be in the building to begin the offseason, joining CeeDee Lamb as an ex-player.

The team is headed for disaster at the start of the 2024 season because of the problems they are experiencing with both of these players plus the state of Dak Prescott’s contract negotiations.

Are We Watching The Dallas Cowboys Disintegrate Before Our Very Eyes?

Although CeeDee stated he does not want to hold out, it appears that he wants a contract renewal as soon as possible. CeeDee is waiting for his big contract, which he most definitely deserves. Per The Spun’s Andrew Gould:

The Dallas Morning News’ Calvin Watkins reported on Friday that there haven’t been any “substantial talks” about a new contract between the Cowboys and Lamb’s representation. Lamb stated earlier this year that his “ideal” goal would be to top the wide receiver salary in the league.

“Why would he?” a source questioned Hill about Lamb’s decision to skip early-offseason exercises in the absence of a long-term deal.

We will have to wait and see if Lamb is going to sit out for even more time, and while he said he does not plan to, that may just be because he believes his contract is coming soon.

The Cowboys will never be able to retain all of their talents in one group for the long run. They appear far worse now than they did prior to their playoff game last season, and they have had to make a lot of difficult decisions during this off-season.

It Looks Like Micah Parson Is Leaving The Dallas Cowboys

Parsons, on the other hand, needs to be paid. He has two more seasons left on his rookie contract. Maybe more than any other defensive player in the league, he demands a lot of money. Although the day is drawing near for these two celebrities to receive their salaries, the Cowboys have been handling things horribly.

Since Micah is among the greatest in the NFL, he should be compensated accordingly. In the near future, one of the players might decide to leave the team. In addition, Parsons did not show up for the team’s voluntary program. It will be interesting to see if he perseveres or reports to training camp as normal.

In any case, it doesn’t appear that the team has the “all in” mentality that Jerry Jones predicted. Dallas might see significant changes very soon.
