Breaking News:Manager who accused Arteta of ‘insulting the family’ believes FA of ‘colluding’ against him However…

Porto manager Sergio Conceicao has condemned the Portuguese FA for “colluding” against him after watching his team draw 2-2 with minnows Famalicao on Saturday afternoon.

Porto manager Sergio Conceicao has accused the Portuguese Football Association of collaborating against him. Conceicao, 49, has previously sparked a quarrel with Mikel Arteta this season, claiming he insulted his family. On Saturday (April 13), after Porto’s 2-2 draw with Famalicao, he attacked the Portuguese FA once more.

Journalist Zach Lowy explained how he’d claimed the country’s football authorities were working against his side, with the manager saying: “They want to put the North region out of sporting success in Portugal and Europe.”

Porto finished the match with ten men after Evanilson was sent off, leaving them in third place, much behind Sporting CP and Braga.

Last month, Arsenal, led by Arteta, eliminated Porto from the Champions League. However, there was as much activity on the sidelines as on the pitch, with officials having to separate Arteta and Conceicao after the final whistle.

“What Arteta said, towards the bench in Spanish, he insulted my family,” he fumed after the game. During the game, [Arteta] turned to the bench and in Spanish – it must be a Spanish coach thing because it was the same thing with [Pep] Guardiola – he insulted my family.

“In the end I told him to pay attention because who he insulted is no longer with us, and to worry about coaching his team, because due to individual quality he has an obligation to do more and better.” Before Conceicao’s statements, Arteta was asked about the confrontation at the conclusion and responded, “No comment. “Thank you so much.”

In 2020, Conceicao accused Guardiola of being “unpleasant” and using “ugly words” during a Champions League defeat to Manchester City.
