Braves Breaking News:He has gone…

An Atlanta Braves, pitcher Spencer Strider is dealing with some problems following his latest game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The 25-year-old right-hander complained about elbow pain during Friday night’s game, forcing the organization to arrange an MRI for Saturday.

Strider’s performance on Friday drew attention for several reasons. First, his fastball velocity was lower than usual, averaging 95.9 mph rather than his usual 97.2 mph. In addition, he struggled on the mound, allowing five runs on seven hits and three walks in just four innings.

Despite this setback, Strider has been a standout pitcher in the league for the previous few seasons. With a 3.37 career ERA and strong stats, including a 115 ERA+ last season, he’s established himself as an important player for the Braves.

If Strider is sidelined due to an elbow injury, the Braves have a number of options to fill his spot in the rotation, including young players like AJ Smith-Shawver and Bryce Elder, as well as seasoned pitchers like Dylan Dodd, Allan Winans, and Huascar Yoa.

Braves manager Brian Snitker has stated that Spencer Strider would get an MRI on Friday morning. Strider informed the team’s medical staff that his right arm was aching after battling through four innings in Atlanta’s 6-5, 10-inning victory over the Diamondbacks.

“I assumed it was just one of those nights, until he came in and complained about his elbow” Said Snitker

Despite Strider’s problems, the Braves rallied in Friday’s game, scoring late to force extra innings and eventually winning in the 10th inning on Travis d’Arnaud’s key hit. The series against the Diamondbacks continues, and the Braves will closely monitor Strider’s status and change their lineup appropriately.
