Brazil’s Paquetá defeats England’s Bowen in a friendly at Wembley Resulting to…

At Wembley Stadium on Saturday night, Lucas Paquetá’s Brazil upset Jarrod Bowen’s England with just one goal. The match was an international friendly.

In the highlight friendly in London, which featured both West Ham United players, Paquetá’s team emerged victorious due to a late goal from Endrick, a 17-year-old.

Starting for the visitors in midfield, Paquetâ received his first cap since June of last year—his 43rd overall. During his 71 minutes on the field, the Hammers No. 10 was in the thick of things, first clipping a ball over the top for Vinícius Júnior, who was denied by Kyle Walker’s goalline clearance, and then hitting a left-footed shot against the post just before halftime. Paquetá’s eventful return to the international fold also resulted in a yellow card.

He was replaced shortly after Bowen joined the game to earn his sixth cap for England, who eventually suffered their first defeat at Wembley in 21 games.

Before the international break ends, the two will be hoping for more action for their respective nations. On Tuesday, the Three Lions will host Belgium and Brazil will play Spain in a friendly in Madrid.
