The Kansas City Chiefs might acquire a $21 million star in exchange for a defensive boost.

The Kansas City Chiefs still have a long way to go if they hope to win the Super Bowl a third time the following season, despite their second straight victory. Only if the front office signs Devin White to a projected $21 million contract in free agency will this be feasible in terms of strengthening the defense.

The Chiefs were the reigning champions when the previous season got underway. With an 11-6 record at the completion of the regular season, Kansas City led the AFC West division.

By then, the club lead by Patrick Mahomes had destroyed other teams en route to the Super Bowl. The San Francisco 49ers, Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, and Baltimore Ravens are a few of these.

Even though the Chiefs’ defense finished second in the NFL last season, there’s no assurance that they’ll play that well come playoff time. The executive staff needs to think about adding Devin White to make sure their defensive lineup plays effectively.
