• Premier League Player of the Year was one of the awards presented at the London Football Awards on Thursday night.

At the 2024 London Football Awards, Declan Rice was named London’s Premier League Player of the Year. He was first given this prize in 2022 for his work with West Ham, therefore this is his second time winning it.

Rice, who currently plays for Arsenal, defeated fellow Gunner Martin Odegaard to win the trophy once more on Thursday.

Guglielmo Vicario and Pedro Porro of Tottenham, William Saliba of Arsenal, and Jarrod Bowen of West Ham were among the other nominees.Nevertheless, Ange Postecoglou, the coach of Tottenham, won Manager of the Year, beating out Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta.                                                                                                          Vicario, Tottenham’s goalkeeper, was awarded Goalkeeper of the Year, which led to more celebrations. Goal of the Year went to Michael Olise of Crystal Palace for his incredible goal against Luton.                            Cole Palmer of Chelsea won Young Player of the Year, and Lauren James of the capital was named WSL Player of the Year. Women’s Young Player of the Year went to Aggie Beever-Jones.                                                                                Lastly, the London Football Awards recognized Charlton’s Alfie May as the EFL Player of the Year.
