Sharks star to test open market; Hunt free to talk to rival clubs immediately — Transfer Whispers

Sharks fan favourite Ronaldo Mulitalo is set to become a free agent come November 1.

That is according to AAP, who reported via The Canberra Times that Mulitalo, who comes off contract at the end of 2025, has informed the club of his desire to test his value on the open market.

The star winger has become a key member of the Sharks over the years since making his NRL debut for the club in 2019.

AAP reports the Sharks want to keep the 24-year-old — but will have to contend with interest from rival clubs when he becomes free to negotiate with rivals in just over two week’s time.

Mulitlo reportedly is not necessarily wanting to leave the club either but will have the opportunity to see what other opportunities are out there.

It adds another layer to Cronulla’s November 1 conundrum with the likes of skipper Cameron McInnes, Briton Nikora and Braydon Trindall all set to become free agents should they not be locked in beforehand.
