Liam Jones has the possibility of returning for this weekend’s match against Sydney at the SCG on Sunday afternoon.

The defender sustained a moderate-grade medial ligament injury two weeks ago and will need to demonstrate his fitness to be able to play against the Swans.

“Following his medial ligament knee injury, Liam Jones has been progressing well,” stated Head of Sports Medicine, Chris Bell.

“He has pulled up well after completing a match parameters training session on Saturday,” reported the team’s spokesperson.

“He still needs to complete certain requirements during our main training session on Friday before we can confirm his availability for this weekend,” clarified the team’s spokesperson.

James O’Donnell is expected to remain sidelined for at least another week due to a hamstring issue.
