NEWS:LIV Golf great Ian Poulter was outraged after the airline left his equipment at home days before the competition.

The golf bag was not overweight. I took it to large, scanned it, and watched it move down the conveyor belt. #Pathetic.” He later posted a snapshot of the location of his bag. “@british_airways if you’re struggling to find my bag it’s here,” Poulter tweeted. A third message, indicating another lost set of clubs, added: “@british_airways Just for the record, there are also @henrickstenson golf clubs. You might as well find them while you’re hunting for mine. The one thing you guys do exceptionally well is charge for flights.” Poulter had been in a better mood prior to the incident, uploading a selfie of himself on the plane with the caption “Heading to Houston.”

As reported on social media, Poulter received the dreadful news via text message while in the air. “Dear customer, BA regrets to inform you that a bag did not travel with you today,” a screenshot he uploaded reads. Poulter spoke extensively about the scenario on his Instagram Story. “FFS @british_airways so disappointing,” he tweeted. I checked in 2 hours and 20 minutes before the flight. What could be the excuse? “I received the email three hours into the flight. I would not have bothered flying if you hadn’t sent my golf clubs. Can’t get fresh air.” In a follow-up post with a selfie of himself, Poulter reiterates: “Talk about —— off @british_airways.
