Stuttgart Open: Struff advances to the quarterfinal


On Thursday night, Jan-Lennard Struff defeated Botic van de Zandschulp 7-6, 6-4. He will now face Felix Auger-Aliassime, a No. 5 seed from Canada, in the following round.

At the MTTC Iphitos complex on Thursday night, German Jan-Lennard Struff, ranked fourth, upset Dutchman Botic van de Zandschulp 7-6, 6-4 to go to the Munich Open quarterfinals.

The No. 28-ranked Struff will next play the No. 5-seeded Felix Auger-Aliassime of Canada.

In the previous round of the Munich event, Russian qualifier Ivan Gakhov was defeated (6-4, 2-6, 6-3) by No. 89 rated Van De Zandschulp.
