Friday night’s 109-114 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans created NBA history for Golden State Warriors veteran forward Draymond Green. Having not taken a single shot, he became the first player in league history to record a double-double.

Green had 12 rebounds and 11 assists in the Pelicans game’s conclusion. He didn’t try a field goal or step up to the free throw line in his 36 minutes on the court.

After the game, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr talked with reporters and said he didn’t mind that Green wasn’t contributing more offensively. He was commended for his overall efforts and acknowledged that he played a significant role in giving his side a chance to win.

Kerr declared, “I don’t care if Draymond shoots or doesn’t shoot.” “He handles everything else.” Tonight, he was amazing. His competitiveness and defense were excellent. The way our boys fought in the second half, I thought, was incredible to watch because of their intense competitiveness and energy.

Throughout his difficult season, Draymond Green had several suspensions. He still plays a vital role for the Warriors, though, because of his flexibility and defense. At the moment, Green’s averages per game are 8.6 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 6.0 assists.
