Players were signed, tagged, and moved as the NFL free agency began in March.

Although analysts will provide their opinions on who made and lost in free agency, Betway adopted a novel strategy by analyzing internet sentiment data to determine the sentiment of the supporters.

Utilizing a social listening technology, analysts collected mention data from multiple websites to identify NFL fans who expressed the lowest levels of dissatisfaction during free agency.

From each team’s home location, sentiment data from March 11 to March 26 was analyzed and gathered.

The study indicates that 36% of Dallas Cowboys’ ardent supporters felt negatively about the team’s news regarding free agency.

Even though the club finished the season with a 12-5 record, it’s clear that a lot of supporters are still hurting from the heartbreaking 48-32 loss to the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Wild Card game earlier this year.

Following the team’s defeat, a large number of supporters pushed Jerry Jones to fire Mike McCarthy as head coach and install legendary coach Bill Belichick—who has won eight Super Bowls with the New England Patriots—in his stead.

Cowboys supporters appear to be concerned about the team’s roster after losing important players like Tyron Smith and Tony Pollard to free agency.

Linebacker Leighton Vander Esch and receiver Michael Gallup, who were both selected in the top three of the 2018 NFL Draft, were both let go by the organization.

America’s Team has not advanced beyond the divisional round of the playoffs since 1995, marking 29 years without a deep playoff run.

Although fans have been disappointed with the Boys’ performance in the offseason, they are nonetheless desperate to see their favorite team win another Super Bowl.
