In place of Jerry Jeudy, the Denver Broncos are adding a talented and up-and-coming wide receiver.

The Broncos are reportedly close to signing former Detroit Lions wide receiver Josh Reynolds to a big $14 million, two-year contract, according to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Reynolds, 29, is now cashing in with the Broncos, where he will get the chance to move up to the top of the receiving depth chart, following his most productive season and two-year span of his career.

Reynolds demonstrated his ability to stretch the field last season by catching 40 catches for a career-high 608 yards and five scores, averaging 15.2 yards per reception.

Josh Reynolds’ Contribution to the Denver Broncos’ Passing Game

Reynolds is moving to Denver, where he will become a focal point, from a congested receiving corps where he established himself as one of Jared Goff’s favorite and most dependable chain movers.

Pro Football Focus notes that when Goff targeted Reynolds last season, who averaged 4.5 yards after the catch per reception, he recorded an incredible 118.8 passer rating.

After lining up on the perimeter for 65% of his snaps last season and running out of the slot for 35% of his offensive snaps, Reynolds offers versatility as a playmaker both out wide and from the slot.

Reynolds has played for the Rams, Titans, and Lions since the Los Angeles Rams selected him in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft. In that time, he has caught 220 receptions for 2,933 yards and 19 touchdowns.
