The win was the Celtics’ second over the Suns in five days. In the second half, Brown produced one of the season’s highlights when he stole a pass from Suns guard Grayson Allen and dunked over the former Duke Blue Devil a few seconds later.

While fellow Celtics player Jayson Tatum has gone through some difficult times lately, Brown has been on fire over the past few weeks (though you wouldn’t know it from his performance on Thursday).

Head coach of the Boston Celtics Joe Mazzulla was completely transparent on Friday about how he divides up the shot attempts between his two players.

You want to hold onto the player who is performing exceptionally well. We modified the sub pattern last night in order to maintain the matchups that we desired for the remainder of the quarter, Mazzulla stated, according to Celtics insider Bobby Manning of CLNS networking on X, the social networking site that was once known as Twitter.

In his analysis, Manning also mentioned that Brown had, in fact, tried more field goals than Tatum over the past ten games, which is somewhat of an anomaly.

Tatum and Brown have long faced criticism that their games are too repetitive to ever work together, but as the Celtics look to win 67 games this season, the two players are letting their performance speak for themselves.
