This summer, Celtic hopes to finalize a “huge” transfer.

According to a recent update detailing the Hoops’ future business, Celtic intends to complete a “huge” transfer during the summer transfer window.

TRANSFER NEWS

While Rangers and Parkhead are presently the center of attention in the Scottish Premiership, this summer’s focus will also be on adding new players.

One player who has been linked to a move to Parkhead recently is 18-year-old attacker Patrick Casey of Charlton Athletic. Casey is an attacker who is likely an asset in the future.

Celtic appears to be pursuing a youth-focused strategy at the moment, as seen by Adam Berry, a teenage sensation from Manchester United who may also be of interest to the Hoops.

However, it is essential that some major business be done once summer arrives, with established players also entering, and it appears that this may be the case.

In an intriguing new report, Football Insider claims that Celtic intends to spend a “huge sum” on a player at the conclusion of the season in an attempt to break their own transfer record, which was set by the £9 million they paid for Odsonne Edouard in 2018.

“Sources have told Football Insider that Celtic intend to shatter their club transfer record this summer during what is expected to be a hectic window. Despite the club’s strong financial situation in recent years, the £9 million paid to Paris Saint-Germain for Odsonne Edouard in 2018 still stands as their record transfer.

As part of a significant summer signing spree, the Glasgow giants are rumored to have put aside a “huge sum” to secure a headline acquisition. In recent years, Celtic supporters have been critical of the club’s board and recruitment team, claiming that the organization lacks ambition.”

Furthermore, Celtic “announced revenue of £120 million in their 2022–23 accounts, including £40 million in profit and £67 million stashed in the bank,” according to the report, which may clear the path for a significant addition.
