After spending a significant amount of time on the sidelines, Mauricio Pochettino has stated that he now has one Chelsea player eligible for selection.
Robert Sanchez is once again eligible for selection ahead of tomorrow’s trip to play Manchester City, he stated in his pregame press conference.
Since being pulled off the field against Everton in December due to an injury, Sanchez has not appeared in a game for the Blues.
On that particular day, Djordje Petrovic—who was making his club debut—took his position. He didn’t have much of an influence at Goodison Park, but at Stamford Bridge, he has been outstanding in goal.
- His shot stopping has truly drawn the attention of many, even though his kicking hasn’t been all that great.
Many now think that the 24-year-old Spaniard should stay in goal for the foreseeable future, even after he is fully recovered.
Sanchez is back in shape.
On the other hand, Pochettino has made hints that both goalkeepers will start a run of games while they are both healthy.
Declared fit again, Mauricio Pochettino’s £25 million Chelsea player may play in his first game since December.
